王长清初涉江湖，以为能征善战皆是英雄，结交各路朋友。奈何正义面前，兄弟反目。为报国需求功名，投奔舅父家中，父母借机要他与表妹完婚，而王长清心中却钟意他人，二人携手揭露江湖阴谋。
